Origins
A young student turns his passion for electronics into a profession, starting to wind small transformers in the house basement.
1986
The brand
As the business is growing, a recognizable brand becomes necessary: Itacoil brand was born.
1990
Automation
We design and build on our own the first of a long series of automatic production equipment.
1992
Quality
Itacoil is the first Italian company in the sector to certify the Quality Management System to ISO standards.
1996
Custom and standard products
We add our first series of standard products to the already wide range of custom products.
2002
Process innovation
We develop our first fully automated production line.
2005
Offshoring
The quest for competitiveness requires us to move part of the production in lower-cost regions. This also allows us to shift our focus on design, research and development.
2006
Italian Electrotechnical Committee
As a CEI effective member, we start contributing to the regulatory work of CT96 for the european standard EN 61558 for transformers and power supplies.
2008
Technical primacy in the LLC topology
Our R&D efforts make us excel in the design of LLC resonant transformers and tanks. The market recognizes our leadership in the design of integrated and discrete resonant tanks.
2010
LLC optimization
We develop in-house an advanced simulation software for LLC resonant transformers, which further enhances our design and optimization capabilities.
2011
Partnership with the big semiconductor brands
We start working with leading semiconductor companies, developing Demo Boards.
2012
PFC optimization
We expand our proprietary software to optimize the design of PFC inductors and other components.
2013
Internationalization
It's time to consolidate our presence on international markets: our internationalization program begins. It will bring us to export a significant share of sales and be an internationally valued brand.
2021
40 years! LCC topology
In the year we celebrate Itacoil's 40th anniversary, we master the LCC resonant topology thanks to our increased design capabilities and the consequent upgrading of software.
